A minmalistic 90s cardigan with neat details

Sizes: XS (S, M, L, XL) 2XL, 3XL, 4XL

Chest width (garment): 90 (97, 105, 112, 120) 130, 140, 150 cm

Arm width (garment): 27 (28, 30, 31, 32) 35, 38, 41 cm

For this garment I recommend about 8-10 cm ease

Gauge: 22 sts and 28 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch

Needles: 4 mm circular needles, 60-100 cm cable

3.5 mm circular needles, 40 cm cable or longer

Material: 250 (250, 300, 300, 350) 350, 400, 400 g Knitting For Olive Merino (50 g = 250 m) AND 125 (125, 150, 150, 175) 175, 200, 200 gKnitting For Olive Silk Mohair (25 g = 225 m)

…or yarn that gives the same gauge!

About the pattern:

My Dream Cardigan is quite a minimal, yet detailed cardigan. It’s worked top down in the round with a saddle/contiguous shoulder construction, and is then cut open (steeked) at the front. It has a slightly oversized fit around the body and a more narrow sleeve that’s shaped with decreases. The bottom of the body and sleeves has a double rolled edge, and the visible button band has a similar construction to mimic them. The steek sts are seamlessly covered with a knitted edge, so there’s no need for any additional woven button band. Lastly the neckline is made with a neat double folded edge.
